Landscape Architecture Graduate Minor (History/Theory)
Graduate School
Graduate Field
Program Description
The Graduate Landscape Architecture Studies: History/Theory minor offers a unique opportunity to engage with graduate students from neighboring fields within CALS and other colleges, providing them with essential histories and theories, principles, and disciplinary knowledge foundational to landscape architecture. Over the years, non-MLA students have consistently participated in our seminars, studios, and courses, demonstrating their interest and engagement with the field. This minor would formalize and strengthen their involvement, further integrating them into our academic community. Non-MLA students would contribute a wealth of value, diverse perspectives, and fresh energy to our program, enriching the learning experience for all.
Admission requirement
An academic & personal statement is necessary [1000 words]. Although any Cornell student can apply, admission will be regulated according to our program’s capacities and needs. Accepted students will be assigned an advisor from our faculty, initially the MLA Director of Graduate Studies.
