Program Website

Program Description

Enables undergraduate students across the university to engage with critical contemporary issues relating to food security, food sovereignty, and food justice. In a context of diverse goals and approaches, the CFS Minor focuses on working with community partners to collaboratively understand and develop sustainable community food systems. Global Development majors may take the Community Food Systems minor with approval from the department. No more than two courses (minimum 6 credits) can count towards the major and minor for all students. Students would need to have a distinct practicum experience that is not being used to fulfill any major or college requirement.
