Program Description

No prerequisite courses are necessary before declaring the minor.
Animal Science Majors are not permitted to minor in Animal Science
To declare a minor, students should contact the Undergraduate Program Coordinator.
Course work is in person in Ithaca, NY unless otherwise noted.

All coursework for this major is in person, in Ithaca, unless otherwise noted.
Total Credits Required: 15 minimum.
Students must complete at least 15 credit hours of animal science courses (ANSC-coded courses, including cross-listed courses and BIOAP 1100). Special Studies courses cannot count towards the 15 total ANSC credit hours.
Students must complete at least one of the four core Animal Science courses (BIOAP 1100, ANSC 2400, ANSC 2120, ANSC 2210).
No more than 3 credits (1 course) can be used to fulfill requirements for the student’s major.

Credits or courses used to fulfill requirements for the Animal Science minor cannot be used to meet requirements for another minor.
