Program
As Cornell's hub for research, teaching, and engagement with East Asia, the East Asia Program (EAP) serves as a forum for the interdisciplinary study of historical and contemporary East Asia. The program draws its membership of over 45 core faculty and numerous affiliated faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students from eight of Cornell's 12 schools and colleges. A minor in East Asian Studies is offered by the Department of Asian Studies, and a minor in China and Asia-Pacific Studies (CAPS) is offered through the CAPS program. The program offers a number of East Asia–related activities throughout the year, designed to promote awareness of East Asian cultures on the Cornell campus. EAP offers graduate fellowships and travel grants to support student research in East Asia.
